Our Team Is Our Foundation — And Now, Our Owners

Silvertip is proud to be an employee-owned company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The dedicated project managers, estimators, administrative professionals, craftsmen, and service personnel our clients work with every day now have a direct stake in the continued success of Silvertip.

For our clients, employee ownership reinforces the qualities that have always defined our work: dedication, precision, accountability, craftsmanship, and problem-solving. Our team isn’t simply completing projects; we’re owners working together to build a lasting company and deliver exceptional results for every client.

Employee ownership also represents an important commitment to our community. The ESOP helps ensure that Silvertip remains locally owned and independent, preserving our roots in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, while building a strong foundation for generations to come.

Our Mission

To deliver high-quality, innovative, and sustainable mechanical solutions that exceed client expectations while fostering long-term relationships built on trust and excellence.

Our Vision

To be the region’s leading provider of mechanical contracting services, recognized for our expertise, integrity, craftsmanship, and the dedication of our employee-owners.

Comprehensive Mechanical Contracting

Silvertip serves all areas of commercial and industrial construction. Our capabilities extend from conventional mechanical systems to specialty applications such as dust collection, pure water systems, smoke evacuation, and critical-room air conditioning.

We also provide design-build services, budgeting, value engineering, time-and-material services, service contracts, computer-aided drafting, and building modeling. Our administrative team of project managers, estimators, accountants, and administrative professionals manages project schedules, deliveries, personnel, material and equipment procurement, and project completion on a daily basis.

Our workforce includes skilled pipefitters, plumbers, sheet metal workers, steamfitters, and welders. Silvertip’s service department provides expertise in medical gas systems, brazing, testing and balancing, commissioning, equipment startup, and the service of systems ranging from condensate pumps to custom-fabricated air handling units, boilers, and automatic temperature control systems.

Our team has experience with a wide variety of mechanical systems, including VAV reheat, two-pipe, four-pipe, constant-volume, energy-recovery, geothermal well-field, and water-source heat-pump systems. A member of the U.S. Green Building Council since 2008, Silvertip has completed more than $15 million in green building design.

In-House Fabrication Capabilities

Our field and service departments are complemented by in-house ductwork and pipe fabrication capabilities. The ability to fabricate ductwork and piping according to project plans—or adapt fabrication as field conditions require—helps us stay ahead of schedules and minimize lead-time issues when construction changes occur.

Our sheet metal shop enables us to support projects ranging from smaller installations involving a single VAV box to major projects incorporating more than two dozen air handling units. From ductwork measuring 8 inches by 8 inches to sections 8 feet by 8 feet and larger, we are equipped to handle projects of virtually any scale.

Our pipe fabrication shop allows multiple pieces of equipment and piping assemblies to be fabricated off-site and transported to the project for faster installation. Boiler and mechanical rooms can be partially fabricated before equipment is set, helping decrease field installation time and improve overall project efficiency.

Logistics, Safety & Project Support

Silvertip’s shipping and receiving operations provide a consistent flow of materials to our job sites, with multiple deliveries each week to accommodate on-site storage limitations and expedited material or equipment requirements. Our CDL-licensed drivers can transport ductwork, piping, pumps, energy-recovery units, and other equipment directly to project locations.

Safety is an integral part of our operations. Silvertip’s Safety Director conducts weekly safety meetings with field personnel, project safety inspections, and regular tool and equipment inspections.

Our support team also includes a Service Manager responsible for annual service contracts and equipment startup, a Commissioning Manager who works directly with project commissioning agents through project completion and closeout, a LEED Accredited Professional who reviews certification requirements, and a Professional Engineer who supports design-build projects and system reviews.

Experience & Reach

Silvertip has successfully completed hundreds of projects and service contracts representing tens of millions of dollars in mechanical work. Our experience encompasses everything from small service contracts and individual system improvements to multimillion-dollar mechanical construction projects.

We routinely bid and complete projects throughout central and northeastern Pennsylvania, with a service area extending from the New York border to the Maryland border and from State College to Bloomsburg.

No matter the size or complexity of the project, our approach remains the same: combine experienced people, technical expertise, responsive project management, in-house capabilities, and exceptional craftsmanship to deliver work our clients can depend on.

Today, that commitment carries even greater meaning. The people responsible for delivering Silvertip quality are also the people who own the company—and together, we’re building its future.
